Gran Teatre Liceu Barcelona - Season 2011/2012
The Barcelona Liceu theater was built around the middle of the nineteenth century and reflects the splendor of that era except for the interior.
The stage and auditorium were destroyed in a devastating fire in 1994.
The theater, which re-opened in 2000, has kept its original facade and was refurbished with modern technology.
Catalan artist who have appeared on the Liceu stage, entertaining thousands of audiences include the internationally acclaimed Josep Carreras, Jaume Aragall and Montserrat Caballè.
The theater offers an intense season calendar. Tickets can be easily purchased for a performance at the Liceu from online ticket circuits Barcelona.com, ServiCaixa, or LiceuDirecte.
