LOW EMISSIONS ZONE AND CIRCULATION RESTRICTIONS

You should be aware that there are restrictions on traffic in the metropolitan area on weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Cars with foreign registration:

All foreign vehicles must register and pay €5. Please note that the initial application will take 15 business days to be processed (almost a full calendar month). You can register at: https://zberegistre.ambmobilitat.cat/es/VehiclesEstrangers

Foreign vehicles that meet environmental requirements will be able to circulate after registering and obtaining a long-term authorization. The registration fee will be €5.

Foreign vehicles that do not meet environmental requirements will be able to obtain authorization to circulate in the ZBE for 10 days per year during restricted hours (weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Once registered, you can request daily authorization (variable cost per day, to be consulted on the City Council’s website) until 11:59 p.m. the day before.

Cars with Spanish registration

If your vehicle has a Spanish license plate and has an environmental label 0, ECO, C, or B, you can circulate without restrictions in the ZBE Rondas de Barcelona. INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET THERE

Regardless of your origin, follow the signs leading to the B-10 Ronda del Litoral, which skirts the coast.

– If you are coming from France, take Exit 21, Ciutat Vella, and follow the roundabout to Plaça de Drassanes. Exit the roundabout onto Avinguda del Paral·lel; after about 500 meters, turn right onto Carrer Nou de la Rambla; after 250 meters, turn left onto Carrer Sant Olegué and immediately after, turn right onto Carrer Marqués de Barberà; when you reach Las Ramblas, turn right and then take the first right onto Nou de la Rambla. The Hotel Gaudí and the Edén Parking will be about 70 meters ahead.

– If you are coming from Madrid or Valencia, take Exit 21, Ciutat Vella, and continue on Paseo Josep Carner until you reach the roundabout of Plaça de Drassanes. Exit the roundabout onto Avinguda del Paral·lel; after about 500 meters, turn right onto Carrer Nou de la Rambla; after 250 meters, turn left onto Carrer Sant Olegué and immediately after, turn right onto Carrer Marqués de Barberà; when you reach Las Ramblas, turn right and then take the first right onto Nou de la Rambla. The Hotel Gaudí and the Edén Parking will be about 70 meters ahead.

Once at Sants station:

– If you decide to take the metro, use line L3 (green) and get off at the Liceu stop. The hotel is 350 meters away. You will need to exit the metro station and walk along Las Ramblas towards the sea, then turn right onto Carrer Nou de la Rambla. Right across from Palau Güell, you’ll find Hotel Gaudí.

– Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Sants station, the cost is variable, around €15.

Barcelona’s El Prat airport is 16 km away.

– If you decide to take a taxi, the journey from the airport may cost you approximately €35 per trip.

– If you decide to take the bus, take the Aerobús (A1 or A2) and get off at Pl Catalunya; once in the square, you just have to decide whether to take a taxi, go by metro (1 stop on the L3 green line, getting off at Liceu), or walk 1km along Las Ramblas until you reach Carrer Nou de la Rambla. The cost of the Aerobús ranges from €5.90 per person per trip.

– If you decide to take the metro from the airport, the L9 Sud (orange) will take you to Zona Universitaria, where you will need to transfer to the L3 line (green) and get off at the Liceu stop. The hotel is 350 meters away. You will need to exit the metro station and walk along Las Ramblas towards the sea, then turn right onto Carrer Nou de la Rambla. Right across from Palau Güell, you’ll find Hotel Gaudí.
