The Barcelona Liceu theater was built around the middle of the nineteenth century and reflects the splendor of that era except for the interior.

The stage and auditorium were destroyed in a devastating fire in 1994.

The theater, which re-opened in 2000, has kept its original facade and was refurbished with modern technology.
